Being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes is a challenging time and can leave you feeling isolated and alone, especially for young children who may not understand what is going on.
That's why JDRF has Rufus, the bear with type 1 diabetes. Rufus is no ordinary bear, he has special patches that help children learn where to test and inject. Rufus is a great friend to newly diagnosed children - offering comfort and showing them that they are not alone.
Through this gift, a £10 donation has been made to JDRF that will help send Rufus the bear to hug and support a newly diagnosed child, and enable us to cure, treat and prevent type 1.
